"Adventure may hurt you, but monotony will kill you." — Unknown

I don’t consider myself very brave, and more often than not, I’m my own worst enemy. But I do crave adventure and trying new things, so I’ve trained myself to suck it up. I can be a Type-A perfectionist when needed, but I prefer to go with the flow, and I have faith that things always work out in the end.

Writing is my release, which is how I ended up studying journalism and songwriting at the University of Southern California. I enjoy long-form features, digital media, and photography. While I have a soft spot for paperback books and hand-written letters, I'm excited by new technology and innovative storytelling.

When I'm not reading or writing, I'm outdoors—or wishing I were. I feel most at home in the mountains and most inspired by nature's marvels. Hiking and backpacking are my favorites, but skiing and road-tripping earn honorable mentions. Trail snacks are my favorite food group.

My obsession with the outdoors fuels my passion for the climate. I’m committed to protecting our planet in any way I can.

Whatever I do in life, I want to pursue purpose; be a part of something bigger than me; smile half as often as an infant; be kind to everyone; and measure life by adventures, not years.
